FRACTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS FOR MISSION-DRIVEN ORGANIZATIONS

YOUR TEAM’S
COMMUNICATIONS TEAM.

Chorus plans and executes ongoing communications your organization needs on a reliable schedule and in your voice.

Does this feel familiar?

The Newsletter?

“It’s running late again… oh and now it is out of date.”

Social Media?

“It is always a last-minute emergency.”

Annual Report?

“Wait, when did I post last?”

Website Updates?

“It is mostly the correct information still, right?”

Donor Emails?

“Yeah they need to hear from me but they also need me to do what they are giving towards.”

The Blog?

“We have great stories to tell but no time to tell them.”

We know the feeling! We’ve been there.

We’ve been communication directors, board members, pastors, and the person that communications wasn’t the job of but landed on us anyway.

That’s why we started chorus.

We know and share your frustration and we know communicating the mission always seems to be what suffers.

Communicating your mission is too important.

We come in and learn your mission, your voice, and your needs all with the goal of internal harmony and external clarity. We become insiders, your team’s communications team. Then…

Chorus gets it handled.

The needs of every partner we work with are different because your mission and your teams are different.

We meet you where you are and then go from there.

What we handle

We come alongside and help organize what is being communicated, to whom, through which channel, and when it needs to happen.

The Communications Calendar

Newsletters, email campaigns, social content, writing, design, presentation slides, and the other pieces that return every week or month.

How we partner

We know each of our partners’ communications problem has a shape. Our goal is to work out which one is yours and meet you there with the right kind of partnership.

Yes, our name is Chorus. Yes, we have cute musical themed partner levels to match.

We Lead

Sometimes you don’t know where to start or need clarity before doing anything long-term. In Comms Camp we take the time over 3 months to assess your communications process, needed channels, direction, and then we hand you a rhythm you can run with or we can do it for you under a new partner level. It’s up to you!

Comms Camp

You may have the time to do the needed communications work but don’t have the mental bandwidth to stay on top of it. With Accompanist, we help keep everything straight, organized, while you still carry most of the work but we make sure it doesn’t fall through the cracks and help with some of the tedious work.

Accompanist

You may not have a lot of channels of communication you are running but the truth is you need someone else to carry them. That’s where we begin with the Soloist, we come in and carry a heavy or a couple of light rhythms for you week, month, quarter in and out. What we need from you is to get us the right information and to sign off. You will also get a weekly 30min strategy call.

Soloist

Duet builds on Soloist in adding more capacity for carrying more communication rhythms while also adding the option to add light project work to the partnership. Those website updates? The comms plan for the one-off event? Planning a new comms channel? That can all be carried with Duet.

Duet

Our Ensemble partners are organizations that just need to know their communications are going to be cared for and done well. We carry everything, run more than one project at once, and own the arc of the year: what gets said, in what order, to whom, and what we stop doing because it isn't earning its place. We embed like a communications team.

Ensemble

You might be an Executive Director, Owner, or Pastor and you have been making all the communications decisions and managing the communications team but it is beginning to take up too much of your time but you don’t have the budget for a new hire. That’s where a Conductor can come in and serve as a fractional senior leader and can range from overseeing direction to managing your team’s work.

COnductor

You have a gap in leadership because of a transition or leave of a senior communications leader but you still need leadership you can depend on to fill the gap that is exactly what a Session with Chorus is for. We fill the gap of leadership with a senior leader until your leader gets back or you have hired in your new one. Then we hand it all off.

We carry the Chorus.

You write the verses.

You could never just take a chorus out of a song, it is what makes it recognizable and gets stuck in people’s head. But it is the verses that hold the deeper creativity, the edge of the song, that makes the chorus that much more impactful.

We make sure the chorus is strong so that you can do what you do best in the verses.
